Pastoral Biography
Apostle, Elder David K. Jones has a passion for seeing people connected through serving. As an experienced Speaker, Bible Study teacher and Facilitator, Apostle Jones has been using his gifts and talents as both a leader and trained community advocate for human rights. He has been active for more than 30 years in Ministry and Bible Study Fellowship and serves as Pastor of the House of Joy and Praise Ministries, Jackson, MS. A Chicago native Apostle Jones grew up in a family with a strong commitment to Christian faith and service; (Church of God In Christ). As a result, he loves discussing spirituality, the heart of God and how He impacts lives. He also loves spending time with family, friends and the community. Apostle Jones is the proud father of David and Davida Jones and says that his children fulfill his life and that he loves being a father and mentor.
While in the windy city of Chicago Apostle Jones attended Wright Business College and Chicago State University majoring in Business and Special Education. He is currently in his senior year at Andersonville Baptist Seminary Bible College majoring in Christian Education and Christian Counseling. Apostle Jones serves in the professional position as Head of Security for Mattiace Property and Management Company and enjoys serving the community, customers and the citizens of Jackson, MS. He is also the CEO of his own security company JP Customer Protection Service.
Apostle Jones is a man of Faith and states that the journey has taught him among many things a greater trust in the grace and provision of God. He hopes to continue learning how to lean on the faithfulness of God in all the paths of his life. He is very grateful for the life that God has given him and for the opportunity to serve here in Jackson, MS at the House of Joy and Praise Ministries. Apostle Jones states that he finds this to be a community of faith that is committed to being transformed by the reconciling gospel of peace and to following Christ in all of life. We are all called to be ministers of God's love in this world. It is only in loving, praising, and serving God that we finally discover our life's deepest calling and are empowered to serve as instruments of God's peace in this world.
