Purpose

The Purpose Of This Congregation ls To Give Visible Form To That Faith and
Fellowship To which God Has Called His People. We Acknowledge Ourselves To Be a Local Manifestation Of The Universal Church Through Which Jesus Christ Continues To Minister To The World By His Holy Spirit. We Shall Seek To Fulfill This Calling Through Corporate Worship services, Through A Program Of Christian Nurture By Which Our Members May Be Built Up ln Their Faith And Love, Through Proclamation Of The Gospel By Word And Deed. And Through Ministering To Human Need ln The Name Of Christ.

Covenant

Having Been Led, As We Believe. By The Spirit Of God, To Receive The Lord Jesus Christ As Our Savior, And On The Profession Of Our Faith, Having Been Baptized In The Name Of The Father, And The Son, And Of The Holy Spirit And Name Of Christ Jesus, We Do Now ln The Presence Of God And This Assembly Most Solemnly And Joyfully Enter Into Covenant With One Anther. As One Body ln Christ.

We Engage, Therefore, The Aid Of The Holy Spirit, To walk Together ln Christian Love,

To Strive For The Advancement Of This Church ln Knowledge, Holiness, And Comfort,

To Promote lts Prosperity And Spirituality,

To Sustain lts Woship , Ordinances, Discipline, And Doctrines

To Contribute Cheerfully And Regularly To The Support Of The Ministry, The Expenses Of The Church, The Relief Of The Poor, And The Spread Of The Gospel Throughout All Nations.

We Also Engage To Maintain As Far AS Possible, Family And Secret Devotions.

To Religiously Educate Our Children.

To Seek The Salvation Of Our Kindred, And Acquaintances.

To Walk Circumspectly ln The World,

To Be Just In Our Dealings, Faithful ln Our Engagement, Exemplary in Our Efforts To Advance The Kingdom Of Our Savior.

Covenant Part Two

We Further Engage To Watch Over One Another In Brotherly Love,

To Remember Each Other In prayer,

To Aid each Other In Sickness And Distress,

To Cultivate Christian Sympathy In Feeling And Courtesy In speech,

Too Slow To take offense, But Always Ready For Reconciliation, And Mindful Of The Rules Of Our Savior To Secure It Without Delay.

Moreover We Engage That When We Remove From This Place, We Will As Soon As Possible Unite With Some Other Church Where We Can Carry Out The Spirit Of This Covenant And The Principles Of God’s Word.
